Book of Mormon

This is where you can read excerpts from the Book of Mormon that correlate with ancient texts.

It all began in 1960. The LDS Church used the Book of Mormon as a manual for the Priesthood classes for several years. A copy of the 1960 text was set aside to be used for Book of Mormon research. During the ensuing forty-four years research into many ancient documentary discoveries involved visits to many parts of the world where they were or had been found. An extensive library on ancient documents, selected because in some way they might provide confirmation of various areas in the Book of Mormon and Mormon doctrine in particular, was accumulated. Many notations and marginal notes were made in that 1960 copy, identifying various ancient sources as possibly useful in confirming certain Book of Mormon passages. In the year 2004 that much utilized, marked, tabbed and studied texts became the basis of a series of studies on the BOOK OF MORMON for inclusion on the web site.
